Amherst Fire dispatched Ellicott Creek EMS, Twin City Ambulance, and Amherst 92 to 165 South Union in the village at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday for a 62-year-old woman in cardiac arrest at the Williamsville View Manor senior-living building, Room 102.

A first-in unit reported on scene within a minute, and Amherst 251 confirmed a room-window entry at 8:55 p.m.; the fire-panel readings on the building's annunciator ran clean.

Overdose call on Fairgreen Drive: patient conscious and alert seven minutes after Narcan arrives

Amherst Fire Dispatch put out Ellicott Creek EMS to 137 Fairgreen Drive — off Vine Lane — at 8:15 p.m. for a 27-year-old male reported unconscious and possibly overdosing outside the house. Amherst PD acknowledged the address at 8:16 p.m., noting the caller was giving pre-arrival instructions.

By 8:22 p.m. Amherst Fire cleared the run: the patient was conscious and alert. A bystander named on scene, Raynald Basil, checked back through Amherst PD as “negative F2” but showing on probation for strangulation — an aside worked over the radio while officers finished the paperwork.

“A young voice screaming for the last 20 minutes”

The line came across Amherst PD at 3:42 p.m., dropped straight into the middle of a run about an unconscious male on an NFTA bus at Sunridge and East Robinson. Ellicott Creek 7 was already responding to that call — the screaming was folded into the same sweep of the wooded area near Lyfenshire and Robinson.

An Amherst PD unit was steered to a park assist at 370 Sunridge, Creekwood Park just before 9 p.m., told to look for the complainant sitting on the bench. She wanted the officer to know two things: “four males keep coming around and touching her belongings”, and “she also doesn’t like sharing the playground equipment with the other kids”.

“It’s on a transformer behind 4324 Bailey” — and the National Guard has to come get it

An Amherst PD unit signed off just after 6 p.m. with a small utility mystery: something was hung up on the transformer behind 4324 Bailey Avenue that the fire department couldn’t reach, and the officer was calling the National Guard out to handle it. A follow-up transmission described “this light” as apparently stuck on a bracket somewhere up on the transformer.

A preliminary signal for a commercial fire alarm went out at 6:47 p.m. for 460 Main Street — between Lafayette Square and West Mohawk in the Ellicott Development Courtyard Mall — with Engines 1 and 2, Ladder 2, and Battalion 43 assigned. The waterflow alarm timed out at 6:47 PM hours; Ladder 2 investigated and turned the run on the sprinkler.

Domestic on Union Road: phone thrown, alert flagged for the male occupant

A hang-up call at 7:28 p.m. brought Cheektowaga PD back to 4513 Union Road. Dispatch got the female on the line: a male and female had been arguing, the male was screaming at her not to touch the phone, he threw the phone, and “some swear words were said.” Units worked to separate the household. Dispatch also relayed a standing alert on the male occupant — a note about schizophrenia and autism — so the responding officers had the medical context up front.

Vehicle rollover on Gowanda State Road; extrication requested a mile before Kane

Springville Fire Control called out a North Collins vehicle rollover on Gowanda State Road northbound at Kane just after 3:21 p.m. Tuesday. Hamburg Fire Dispatch, a mile south on the same corridor, told a responding crew: “It’s a mile before Kane, you’re gonna need extrication”.
